Northern Beaches Hospital Is Now Public — What It Means for Your Birth

On 29 April 2026, the hospital officially transitioned from Healthscope back into public hands, now run by NSW Health as part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District. As a Registered Nurse of 14 years, and someone whose job is helping families navigate exactly this kind of change, I've had more than a few clients ask me what it actually means for their birth.
